Anahita Mukherjee

Anahita is a media and entertainment lawyer with around a decade of experience across film studios and broadcast networks, focusing on content production, acquisition, distribution and licensing.

During her time at Fox Star Studios and Disney Star, her work spanned supporting development, co-production and acquisition documentation, above-the-line, below-the-line and post production engagements, brand placements and sponsorship deals, co-promotions and marketing tie-ups, licensing and exploitation of rights, along with music syndication.

 

She also managed rights availability across the Bollywood slate and drafted distribution and syndication agreements for

worldwide exploitation across theatrical, television and digital platforms.

 

For the general entertainment channel business for Star India, she has drafted and negotiated content license and assignment arrangements, together with related marketing and research agreements.

 

Most recently at Maddock Films, Anahita led legal support for the studio's production and distribution teams, and also assisted on script and content clearance from a compliance perspective.

 

Anahita brings a client-side sensibility to advisory work, having built and run processes that keep creative and business teams aligned with company policy and media guidelines.

 

Anahita is qualified to practice law in India. She completed her graduation from Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
