Cookie Policy

About this policy

This policy explains how Ascendus Law Partners ("Ascendus", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.ascenduslaw.com (the "Website"). Read it together with our [Privacy Policy].

The Website is an informational resource. Nothing on it constitutes legal advice, an advertisement, a solicitation or an invitation to create a lawyer-client relationship, and accessing it does not

create one.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device so it can recognise the device, remember your choices and understand how you use the site. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.

Who sets the cookies on this Website

We build and host the Website on Wix, operated by Wix.com Ltd. Wix sets the cookies described below on our behalf as part of running the platform. We do not currently run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any other third party tracking on the Website.

Because the Website has no login area, no shop, no language switcher and no embedded third party content, the cookies below are limited to those Wix needs to serve the site securely and to measure whether it is working. All of them are essential, so we set them without asking for your consent. The Website cannot operate properly without them.

Cookies in use

Wix sets the following cookies for security and fraud prevention, all of which expire when you close your browser: XSRF-TOKEN, which prevents cross-site request forgery; hs; and cookies beginning with TS.

Wix sets the following cookies to run the site and identify a visit. svSession identifies unique visitors and follows a visit across pages, and lasts [12 months]. smSession identifies logged in users and expires with your browser session. SSR-caching records how the page was rendered and lasts [1 minute].

Wix sets two cookies for system monitoring and debugging. _wix_browser_sess expires with your browser session, and _wixCIDX lasts [3 months].

Wix sets two cookies to measure whether the platform is performing properly. bSession lasts [30 minutes], and fedops.logger.sessionId records stability and error data for [12 months].

Finally, consent-policy stores the choices you make on our cookie banner and lasts 12 months.

Wix publishes its own current cookie list at https://support.wix.com/en/article/cookies-and-your-wix-site.

Your choices

Our cookie banner records your choices in the consent-policy cookie. You can change those choices at any time.

If we later add analytics, subscription tracking or embedded content that sets non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent before setting them and update this policy.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The help section of your browser explains how. Blocking all cookies will stop parts of the Website from working.

Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. No common standard governs how sites should respond to it, so the Website does not respond to it. We honour the choices you make through our banner instead.

Retention

Each cookie lasts no longer than the period stated above. We hold the resulting technical data only for as long as we need it to run and secure the Website.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to applicable law. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Where a change is material, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
